For the cave scene we used camera projections so as to “cheat” movements and escort Gal more intimately.
The added fish were flock simulated. Selected fish were animated individually to add realism to their behavior.
For the bison scene, the idea was to have a visually stunning, boulder like, colossal creature coming to life.
The process of creating this beast included modeling, rigging and R&D of its animation and texture behavior.
The waterfall scene was especially challenging.
Comprised of location shots, green screen shots and CG imagery, the final effect was created using guided cloth simulation atop CG distort using the water footage as our base.
And finally, our “Northern Lights” were created using multiple particle systems.
