This effect features mesh scaling, rotating, and color-changing behaviors, which you can customize further to suit your needs.

Throughout this tutorial, I’ll walk you through the entire process of creating this effect from scratch. You’ll learn how to:

• Set up a grid of particles and apply mesh rendering.
• Create dynamic changes in mesh size and rotation based on particle positions.
• Apply color gradients and animate the transitions between them.
• Customize the effect by scaling, rotating, and changing the color of individual tiles.
• Adjust particle behavior, including controlling how they animate and interact with each other.

I also show you how to use the “Lerp” node for smooth transitions and gradients, as well as how to control the particle scaling and rotation per individual tile.

By the end of this video, you’ll have a fully working, customizable floor effect that can be adapted to various use cases in Unreal Engine 5.
