Customizable Energy Impact Effect
This showcase demonstrates an energy impact built with Unreal Engine 5 Niagara and Blueprints. Depth and ground fade stop it from clipping harshly through meshes and terrain, a scale parameter takes it from small hits to scene-wide explosions, and a 0–1 hue value cycles it through any color.
A Blueprint also spawns impacts at random with randomized color and size, which is handy for testing or ambient combat. The full build tutorial and project files are linked below.

In this video, I demonstrate a dynamic Energy Impact Effect created using Niagara and Blueprints in Unreal Engine 5.
With exposed parameters, you can easily customize and modify the effect to fit any scene:
Depth / Ground Fade: Prevent harsh clipping through meshes and terrain.
Dynamic Sizing: Scale seamlessly from small impacts to massive, scene-wide explosions.
Hue Shift / Color Control: Cycle smoothly through 0–1 to get any color variation you need.
Blueprint Setup: Automated random spawning with randomized color and size.
