Hi guys, I’m Ashif Ali and you’re watching CGHOW! In today’s tutorial, we’ll be creating a stunning explosion effect using Niagara in Unreal Engine 5.3, complete with debris and fluid simulation for a truly immersive destruction effect.

We’ll start by setting up a basic fountain particle system and replace it with mesh-based debris for added realism. Then, we’ll integrate rotation behavior for the debris and demonstrate how to stop them upon collision for a smooth, realistic interaction.

I’ll also show you how to apply fluid simulations using GPU particles and customize them to match the destruction theme, creating dynamic effects that can be scaled and controlled for your game or cinematic scenes.
