Post Description: Hi guys, I’m Asif Ali and you’re watching CGHOW! In today’s tutorial, I’m showing you how to create a toxic effect in Unreal Engine 4.27. This effect was inspired by a reference, and though it’s not an exact replica, I took elements from it and added my own twist. All credits go to the original creator, and you can find the reference link in the description.

Effect Breakdown:

• Ring Effect: Creates a pulsating ring that scales out and changes color from white to green.
• Smoke Ring: Uses a sub UV texture to create a smoky, fading effect.
• Streaks: Green streaks that move upward with velocity-based stretching.
• Spiral Mesh: A custom spiral mesh, created manually, with panning textures and dynamic parameters to control erosion and color changes.
• Decals & Shockwave: Ground-facing particles that create an eroding effect and shockwave animation.
• Center & Side Spirals: Rotating spiral meshes with dynamic material setups for each.

Material Techniques:

• Using texture panning and dynamic parameters to control the appearance of the spirals and the eroding effect.
• Implementing sub UV animation for smoke and shockwave effects.
• Applying custom mesh alignments to ensure particles follow the intended path.
